Security Inspection Engineer

1. Job Purpose

Prepare and implement security inspection protocols, conduct risk assessments, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a secure environment for passengers, personnel, and facilities through proactive threat mitigation and incident management.

1.           Work collaboratively with team members by sharing knowledge, providing support, and actively participating in team activities, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Contribute to the development and tracking of KPIs to monitor individual and team performance.

2.           Implement clear procedures for recognizing and reporting security incidents or suspicious activities, maintaining detailed records of all incidents to support effective incident management and response strategies.

3.           Prepare and perform comprehensive risk and threat assessments of security systems by analyzing current intelligence, security incidents, and emerging threats, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting of all potential risks and findings.

4.           Provide and maintain comprehensive documentation of security incidents and breaches as mandated by regulatory agencies, ensuring accurate and accessible records for audit purposes to support continuous improvement in security management.

5.           Formulate the security risk register to track identified risks, mitigation measures, and ongoing monitoring efforts effectively, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management and continuous enhancement of security measures.

6.           Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and recommend improvements to enhance the overall security posture of the airport, ensuring the safety of passengers, personnel, and facilities through continuous assessment and innovation.

7.           Ensure timely compliance with governmental circulars, notices, regulations, and policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable security regulations and standards, and integrating them into airport security protocols.

Communication and Reporting

8.           Report audit findings and security performance metrics to airport leadership for review and strategic decision-making, providing clear and actionable recommendations for improvement to drive effective security strategies.

9.           Establish and implement communication protocols to provide timely updates to management and relevant stakeholders about security issues, ensuring transparency and coordinated responses to enhance overall airport security.

Training and Development

10.        Track and develop security training programs for staff to enhance their ability to detect, report, and respond to security threats, fostering a knowledgeable and responsive security workforce capable of addressing various security challenges.

Compliance and Process Improvement

11.        Implement process improvements by analyzing current practices, identifying inefficiencies, and applying best practices, resulting in increased productivity and reduced costs.

12.        Track and evaluate team performance by setting clear goals, conducting regular reviews, and providing constructive feedback, driving continuous improvement and achieving high performance.

13.        Control unit’s budgets by monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and making necessary adjustments, ensuring financial accountability and resource optimization.
