Job Description

1- Job Purpose

Enhance asset reliability and optimize returns by conducting comprehensive assessments, defining strategic investment priorities, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals through collaboration, financial evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.

2- Position Accountability Description

Operational Excellence

 

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing assets based on inputs from the Master Planning team, thoroughly identifying opportunities for strategic investments to optimize returns and enhance asset performance.
  2. Develop and implement a standardized process for evaluating and prioritizing asset investment opportunities across DACO, ensuring consistency and transparency in decision-making.
  3. Support in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of asset investment initiatives, consistently monitoring and reporting on project progress and metrics to ensure alignment with DACO’s strategic objectives.
  4. Evaluate the economic and financial feasibility of proposed asset investments by conducting detailed ROI and cost-benefit analyses to support informed decision-making.
  5. Leverage data analytics and industry benchmarks to optimize asset investment decisions and outcomes, periodically reviewing and adjusting investment plans to align with evolving business needs and industry dynamics.
  6. Conduct regular audits of asset reliability to identify any discrepancies or areas of improvement, ensuring that assets meet operational and performance standards.
  7. Develop preventive maintenance schedules based on asset reliability data, ensuring that all assets are maintained efficiently to avoid unexpected downtimes.
  8. Implement reliability engineering principles, statistical analysis tools and methodologies, such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and of maintenance management principles, such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO).
  9. Assess asset reliability through vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasound testing, to predict equipment failures and extend asset life.
  10. Utilize predictive maintenance (PdM) tools and technologies, including sensors, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices, and diagnostic software. In addition to developing preventive and corrective maintenance to achieve optimal asset performance and reliability.

 

Asset Lifecycle Planning & Risk Management

 

  1. Support in defining investment priorities through a thorough analysis of asset performance, operational needs, and industry trends, ensuring alignment with Master Planning priorities and organizational goals.
  2. Collaborate closely with Projects Master Planning and Operations to ensure that asset investment plans are in alignment with both operational requirements and the organization's long-term goals.
  3. Coordinate with the Finance department to secure the necessary funding for approved asset investment projects, ensuring financial resources are adequately allocated.
  4. Integrate risk management strategies into asset reliability processes to minimize potential failures and enhance the overall reliability of critical assets.
  5. Regularly review asset performance data and reliability metrics to identify potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
  6. Support lifecycle planning by incorporating reliability data into asset planning decisions, ensuring that long-term investments are aligned with the organization's reliability goals.
  7. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for reliability, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  8. Plan, execute, and manage reliability improvement projects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder management.
  9. Produce clear, concise reports, reliability studies, maintenance plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

 

  1. Engage with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment of asset reliability strategies with broader organizational goals.
  2. Liaise with external partners, including suppliers and service providers, to ensure that asset reliability meets contractual standards and that best practices are followed.
  3. Actively participate in cross-functional teams to drive integrated asset reliability solutions, leveraging diverse expertise to enhance reliability outcomes.
  4. Coordinate with the Master Planning & Development team to ensure that new projects consider asset reliability from the design phase, fostering long-term sustainability.
  5. Work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to implement reliability-centered maintenance practices that enhance asset performance and reduce operational risks.

 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  1. Continuously benchmark asset reliability practices against industry standards, adopting improvements to enhance performance.
  2. Implement and monitor process improvements by analyzing current practices, identifying inefficiencies, and applying best practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  3. Explore and adopt new technologies and tools that can improve asset reliability management, keeping the team at the forefront of innovation.
  4. Foster a high-performance culture by striving for excellence and encouraging peers, contributing to the overall success and continuous improvement of the team.
