Aviation Applications Senior Manager

Job Purpose

Oversee the implementation, management, integration, and optimization of aviation applications, ensuring they align with organizational goals, meet regulatory standards, and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Position Accountability Description

Strategic Leadership

1. Develop and lead the strategic vision for aviation applications, ensuring that system management, integration, and optimization align with organizational goals and enhance overall airport operations.
2. Oversee the daily operations of the aviation applications team, managing workflow, addressing issues, and ensuring adherence to company policies to maintain high operational efficiency.
3. Define and track KPIs specific to aviation applications to assess system performance and user satisfaction, driving continuous improvements and addressing any operational challenges.

Operational Excellence

4. Direct the management, integration, and optimization of aviation application systems, including those for Total Airport Management systems, flight scheduling, baggage handling, passenger services, commercial, smart airport solutions and apron management, ensuring they meet operational standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Ensure that aviation application projects are executed efficiently, from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance, meeting deadlines, budget constraints, and quality expectations.
6. Manage the development and implementation of reporting frameworks for aviation application performance and project status, ensuring accurate and timely financial claims and making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
7. Lead the preparation of comprehensive portfolio reports on aviation application projects, offering clear insights into system performance, project status, and compliance with organizational standards.
8. Evaluate completed aviation application projects to capture lessons learned and integrate these insights into future projects, enhancing system performance and operational effectiveness.
9. Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all aviation applications, facilitating effective management and ensuring compliance with operational standards and industry regulations.

Stakeholder Management

10. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Digital and Technology team, Operations, and Senior Management, to ensure alignment and support for aviation application initiatives and projects.
11. Engage with external stakeholders, such as technology vendors and regulatory authorities, to manage compliance, expectations, and communication regarding aviation applications.

Team Leadership and Development

12. Lead, mentor, and support the aviation applications team, promoting a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement to achieve departmental goals.
13. Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for team members, ensuring they stay current with technological advancements and are equipped to handle complex aviation application requirements.
