Enterprise Risk Management & Business Continuity Director

Job Purpose

The Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity at DAMMAM AIRPORTS  will lead and manage all functions related to risk management and business continuity, ensuring the organization adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains high standards of operational resilience. This role involves developing and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, as well as develop business continuity plan and recovery strategy to limit risk and overseeing business continuity initiatives and mitigating risks.

Position Accountability Description

Strategic Leadership:

1.     Develop and implement risk management and business continuity strategies that align with DAMMAM AIRPORTS ’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.

2.     Manage the coordination of risk management and business continuity initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory requirements.

3.     Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk management and business continuity operations and drive continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence:

1.     Oversee the development and maintenance of risk management and business continuity frameworks, policies, plans and procedures, ensuring their consistent implementation at all levels.

2.     Lead the integration of risk management within DAMMAM AIRPORTS ’s strategy and decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with the organization’s risk appetite and tolerance levels.

3.     Implement mechanisms for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, including developing and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and coordinating risk assessments and mitigation plans.

4.     Develop and maintain a comprehensive business continuity plan that covers all aspects of DAMMAM AIRPORTS  operations, including but not limited to disaster recovery, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), emergency response, and crisis communication.

5.     Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that DAMMAM AIRPORTS  can withstand any potential business disruptions and maintain continuity of DAMMAM AIRPORTS  operations in the face of unforeseen events.

6.     Developing and delivering training courses and awareness for all employees.

7.     Conduct regular tests and exercises (e.g., tabletop simulations, drills) to validate the effectiveness of business continuity plans and identify areas for improvement.

8.     Prepare comprehensive reports on risk management and business continuity activities, including risk assessment results, KRIs, and compliance status for relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

1.     Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and industry partners.

2.     Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure the implementation of risk management and business continuity practices.

3.     Coordinate risk management responsibilities with other assurance departments within the organization (e.g., Internal Audit and General Counsel).

Team Leadership and Development:

4.     Provide guidance and mentorship to the risk management and business continuity team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

5.     Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the risk management and business continuity team.

6.     Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support team members to meet their objectives.
