General Manager of Aeronautical Business Development

Job Purpose

The Aeronautical Business Development GM is responsible for shaping and managing the future of the Traffic Development Department and the Aviation Services Department together with growing its revenue. The role is focused on developing a clear strategy and strengthening Dammam Airports as a fundamental part of the aviation and route development community, through the development of meaningful strategic partnerships with key airline customers and stakeholders. Additionally, the strategy and management of the Aviation Services Department is key to ensuring a compliant and profitable service to airlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Budget planning, forecasting and management experience, with the ability to direct and positively drive organizational objectives, KPIs, budgets and reporting.
• Strategic supplier management including transportation, fuel etc, and performance monitoring to maximize value to the company through contractual and commercial development together with improving customer service.
• Develop collaborative relationships with key service partners to ensure maximum value extraction, operational delivery and costs savings & increased aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue
• Secure new airlines and routes together with increased capacity for both passenger and cargo routes.
• Advise non-Saudi airlines on marketing strategies for the Saudi market.
• Work with key stakeholders and business partners including national and regional government, chamber of commerce, tourism authorities and GACA etc.) to ensure value extraction for the national government.
• Complies with All DACO Policies & Procedures including Safety and reporting hazards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and any additional ad-hoc will be assigned as per work requirement.

Education Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field

(Equivalent business experience will also be considered)
