Maintenace Manager (AQI)

Job Purpose
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of all airport facilities and infrastructure, ensuring they are kept in optimal condition. This role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to the safe and smooth operation of the airport.

Position Accountability Description

Strategic Leadership:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies for airport facilities, aligning with organizational goals and operational needs.

2. Lead and empower the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving high-performance standards.

3. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance strategies and activities, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.

Operational Excellence:

4. Oversee the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for airport facilities and infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 

5. Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and organizational policies in all maintenance operations. 

6. Manage and optimize maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and meet operational requirements promptly. 

7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, ensuring documentation compliance with industry standards. 

8. Conduct regular inspections of airport facilities to assess condition, functionality, and compliance with maintenance standards.  

9. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to enhance maintenance efficiency and accuracy, while prioritizing safety at all times. 

10. Participate in safety drills and training sessions to prepare the maintenance team for emergency response and risk mitigation scenarios. 

11. Efficiently allocate maintenance resources and manage expenditures to achieve cost-effective outcomes.

12. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in maintenance activities without compromising safety or operational integrity. 

13. Manage an inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring availability, functionality, and readiness for maintenance tasks.

Stakeholder Management:

14. Collaborate closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations. 

15. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing maintenance-related inquiries or concerns promptly.

Team Leadership and Development:

16. Provide strong leadership to the maintenance team, setting clear goals and expectations to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

17. Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional development through training programs and skill enhancement initiatives.

18. Implement performance management practices, providing constructive feedback and recognition to support the team in achieving their objectives.

Financial Management:

19. Assist in developing and managing the maintenance unit's budget, allocating resources effectively to support operational requirements and strategic initiatives. 

20. Monitor financial performance and expenditures related to maintenance activities, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement. 

21. Prepare comprehensive budget reports and financial analyses for senior management review, providing insights and recommendations for strategic financial planning in maintenance operations.

Risk and Compliance Management:

22. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of maintenance operations, promptly addressing safety concerns and implementing corrective actions as needed. 

23. Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols in maintenance activities, promoting a culture of safety and proactive risk management. 

24. Report safety incidents and concerns promptly, supporting the development of a proactive safety culture within the maintenance team.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

25. Analyze maintenance processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for innovation and best practice adoption to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

26. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology and practices, integrating new methodologies to improve maintenance operations. 

27. Provide feedback on maintenance procedures and workflows, driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and achieve operational excellence.
