Job Purpose
Manage and optimize passenger flows, ensure compliance among stakeholders, oversee facility performance, and provide strategic support to enhance overall airport operations and passenger experience. Ensure efficient and effective terminal operations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing best practices to continuously improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Position Accountability Description
Strategic Leadership
1. Develop and implement strategies to manage and optimize passenger flows, ensuring alignment with the airport's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
2. Oversee terminal operations, ensuring compliance among stakeholders and optimal facility performance to enhance overall airport operations and passenger experience.
3. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of terminal operations and drive continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
4. Manage daily operations by overseeing team activities, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to policies, maintaining smooth and efficient departmental functioning.
5. Support the Head of Facilities (HOF) and Airport Quality Improvement (AQI) teams by providing strategic oversight and guidance, ensuring the seamless execution of terminal operations and contributing to the continuous improvement of service standards and operational effectiveness.
6. Control the comprehensive performance monitoring of all stakeholders within the airport, proactively resolving any emerging issues in real-time to prevent operational disturbances and ensure a smooth and efficient airport experience.
7. Manage passenger flows and queuing systems in the terminal check-in areas, ensuring that queuing layouts are strategically designed to minimize passenger waiting times and maintain an organized and controlled queuing environment.
8. Lead the oversight and coordination of passenger flows in the arrivals areas and baggage reclaim halls, ensuring that all service levels are consistently met while swiftly addressing any disruptions to maintain seamless operations.
9. Inspect and continuously monitor the performance and functionality of all facilities, equipment, and systems within the terminal, coordinating closely with maintenance teams to address and resolve any issues promptly, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
7. Coordinate with airlines on passenger flow, baggage handling, and compliance with airport policies, enhancing cooperation and maintaining smooth passenger operations.
8. Collaborate with maintenance contractors on facility maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely maintenance and operational efficiency.
9. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers by negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
10. Engage with local communities to address concerns and provide updates on airport operations, fostering positive community relations.
Team Leadership and Development
11. Track and evaluate team performance by setting clear goals, conducting regular reviews, and providing constructive feedback, driving continuous improvement and achieving high performance.
12. Discuss staffing needs with Human Resources, performance evaluations, and training requirements, ensuring optimal staffing, team development, and alignment with HR policies.
Financial Management
13. Control unit’s budgets by monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and making necessary adjustments, ensuring financial accountability and resource optimization.
Risk and Compliance Management
14. Ensure rigorous monitoring and enforcement of passenger, airline, and Ground Handling Agent (GHA) compliance with the airport baggage acceptance policy, taking corrective actions as necessary to uphold regulatory standards and enhance operational efficiency.
15. Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities by adhering to aviation regulations and reporting requirements, maintaining operational standards.
16. Coordinate with the Security Department on security measures and compliance, ensuring passenger safety and regulatory adherence.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
17. Lead the implementation of process improvements by analyzing current practices, identifying inefficiencies, and applying best practices, resulting in increased productivity and reduced costs.
18. Develop and implement performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor the effectiveness of operations and drive continuous improvement, ensuring transparency and accountability.
19. Enhance passenger experience by managing passenger inquiries, complaints, and providing assistance, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and seamless operations.
20. Coordinate with the IT Department to address technological needs and resolve system issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations and enhancing technological support.

Education
Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or related)
