VP of Shared Services

Job Purpose

To lead the management of all Shared Services activities across DACO, including procurement planning & strategic sourcing, HR, Legal, General Services, procurement operations, vendor relationships, contracts, and tender management, managing all logistics and warehousing activities for the airport, and oversee all DACO admin services.

Duties and responsibilities

• Review and validate Shared Services Division strategic and business planning process and provide advice and recommendation in development / update of DACO 's corporate strategy.
• Develop and monitor Shared Services Division strategic and business plan.
• Support DACO-wide goals by providing input and ensuring adherence to operating budget for Shared Services Division.
• Oversee Shared Services Division budgeting cycle and lead the budgeting process.
• Direct Shared Services Division effectively within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
• Formulate strategies that result in positive financial impact for DACO and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Prepare, submit, and justify budget enhancement and resource requests to top management / CEO.
• Direct the development and oversee the implementation of Shared Services Division policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural / regulatory requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through adapting to changes in international standards, changes in the business environment, and adoption of leading practices within Shared Services Division.
• Oversee escalated Shared Services Division non-compliance case resolution and reduce non-compliance through ensuring the availability and promotion of stipulated policies and procedures.
• Comply with All DACO Policies & Procedures including Safety and reporting hazards.
• Help instill a culture of development, guidance, and performance within Shared Services Division.
• Provide development opportunities to the team and ensure career paths and succession plans are charted out, reviewed, and updated.
• Empower team members to take business decisions by effectively delegating authority.
• Set and communicate clear performance expectations, coach, and provide support and regular feedback to Shared Services Division heads on performance.
• Review and approve consolidated learning plan for the Shared Services Division.
• Lead the management and performance assessment of third-party contractors responsible for providing logistics services within the airport and estate to ensure compliance with quality, SHE and security standards.
• Oversee the development of policies, procedures, business processes and workflows, ensuring that they are fully aligned with the Matarat Holding policy framework, and that they cover all Procurement & Logistics activities within DACO.
• Lead the development and effective implementation of inventory quality control and verification plans and process.
• Oversee all procurement transactions (low value, off contract, spot buys) – including, the administration of orders, deliveries, logistics and complaints / follows ups etc.
• Support all DACO functions by guiding the supplier evaluation process with sourcing specialists and business users.
• Guide the development of the category strategies within the business for Group Sourcing & Supplier Leverage spend areas.
• Oversee the supplier registration, pre-qualification, and evaluation processes to ensure they operate efficiently to support the needs of the business.
• Oversee the receiving and issuing of supplies across the Airport, both to Operational and Non-Operational users.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent is required; A master’s degree in management of business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
